The Value of Chamber Membership

Growing up in Sullivan I have always known about the chamber but it wasn’t until I was asked to join 5 years ago that I fully understood what all the chamber does for the businesses, organizations and people of our community. Before joining the board I was just someone from a local organization wanting to help out and be a part of some of the great events the chamber has to offer our town.
Through that experience my mission changed and I became involved more in what the chamber was doing as a whole. I joined the board of directors to look for ways to help our community work together and to prosper. This has been my passion for the last few years. Along the way, I have made memorable friendships with great people from our area. Whether it be with the people that have served on the board or the amazing members that we have, the friendships are ones that I cherish.
Now is a great time to be a member. I encourage you to get involved whether it be by joining a committee, coming to the monthly luncheon or chamber board meetings, or by simply going and supporting the other members. If these last few years have taught us anything it is that by coming together and helping each other we can truly make a difference.
The Chamber Board is dedicated to being here for our members. If you ever have any questions or concerns please feel free to reach out and we would be happy to help. It is an honor to be the Sullivan Area Chamber of Commerce President for 2022 and I look forward to working with the board, the chamber members, and the chamber staff to make this a great year!
